Professional Respect, Not Personal Friendship
Addressing rumours of a fallout with lead actress Rupali Ganguly, Gaurav set the record straight. While he lauded her talent and called her a brilliant co-actor, he clarified that their relationship has always been professional.
He praised Rupali’s talent and dedication, calling her one of his favourite co-actors. However, he made it clear that their relationship didn’t extend beyond the professional space. “Main Rupali ko friend nahi bolunga (I won’t call her a friend),” he said. “She’s a wonderful human being and I’ve learnt a lot from her, but I’m not on those terms with anyone—not even Sudhanshu.”
On-Set Altercations Were Creative, Not Personal
Speaking about behind-the-scenes dynamics, Gaurav acknowledged that occasional altercations did occur, but they were purely creative in nature. “Everyone has their own interpretation of a scene,” he explained. He emphasised that Rupali, as the central figure and lead of the show, carries significant responsibility, and he always respected her position. He added that he never insisted on doing scenes his way, recognising the collaborative nature of television work.
Praise for Sudhanshu Pandey
Gaurav also spoke fondly of co-star Sudhanshu Pandey, describing him as spiritual and highly talented. He recalled encouraging Sudhanshu to continue singing and expressed happiness over his recent musical ventures.
