There was a time during the 90s when it was rumoured that Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan were not on talking terms. Rather it was speculated that both these superstars bear a grudge against each other for reasons unknown. The speculations reached a new height when the Lagaan actor said that the name of his dog is Shah Rukh. But outside the limelight and beyond media, the two did share good vibes and association.
A throwback clip that shows the Badshah of Bollywood calling Aamir much more intelligent than him or the two superstars hugging each other and even discussing a few things about family confirm the same.
One part of the clip shows SRK answering questions in a press conference with Aamir Khan sitting beside him. He can be heard saying, “I don’t think we would have any issue sitting on the same platform, sitting on the same plane, sitting in the same car, sitting in the same house, sitting hopefully one day in the same film. We are all grown-up people and I would like to believe we are both very intelligent. Me a little less than Aamir but we are both intelligent.”
All the while Shah Rukh Khan is speaking Aamir Khan is casually sitting beside him smiling and doing his thing. Another clip shows them meeting each other away from Mumbai and hugging each other fondly.
Aamir Khan’s hair and mustache suggest that it was from the time he was doing Mangal Pandey: The Rising movie. Both the superstars are discussing how long they will be staying with SRK saying that Gauri and the children will go soon but he will have to stay a few days more.
The clip also shows how Aamir Khan says that KKR is his favourite IPL franchise as it is owned by his friend Shah Rukh Khan.
