Born in Bengaluru in 1988, Nithya Menen started acting at the age of 10 in the English-language film The Monkey Who Knew Too Much. However, acting was not her original dream—she wanted to become a journalist. But during her college days, she realized she could express more through acting than reporting.
First Lead Role and Early Success
Nithya Menen made her debut as a lead actress in the Malayalam film Akasha Gopuram (2008) opposite Mohanlal. Her performance caught the attention of filmmakers. Soon, she started getting offers from Telugu and Tamil industries as well.
