For years, there was a speculation about possible romance brewing between Bollywood star Esha Gupta and Team India cricketer Hardik Pandya. The two were often linked in gossip columns and social media chatter, but neither confirmed nor denied the buzz, until now.
In a candid chat with Siddharth Kannan, Esha finally spilled the beans, revealing that while there was brief communication between them, it never evolved into a full-fledged relationship. With honesty and grace, she laid the rumours to rest, calling it a “maybe” that never quite became a “yes.”
“We Were Talking, But It Didn’t Happen”
Responding to the speculation, Esha told HT, “Yeah, for some time we were talking. I don’t think we were dating, but yeah, we were talking for a couple of months.” She added that they were in that “maybe it will happen, maybe it won’t” phase, but it ended before reaching anything serious. “We met once or twice, that’s it,” she added.
When asked if there was potential for a relationship, Esha admitted, “Maybe it could have happened,” but said it fizzled out without any drama or bitterness.
On Hardik’s Koffee With Karan Controversy
Esha also addressed the infamous 2019 Koffee With Karan controversy involving Hardik, saying it didn’t impact her personally since they were no longer in contact. Notably, she was one of the few celebrities who publicly criticized the episode for its misogynistic undertones.
What’s Next for Esha?
Esha was last seen in Ek Badnaam Aashram 3 Part 2 alongside Bobby Deol and played DCP Laxmi Rathi in One Day: Justice Delivered. She is also rumoured to be a part of the upcoming film Hera Pheri 3, though an official announcement is awaited.
