Emraan Hashmi finally apologises to Aishwarya Rai for this reason

Versatile actor Emraan Hashmi has given us some memorable films ever since his debut. Despite being tagged as a ‘serial kisser’ in films, Emraan has never been embroiled in any kind of controversy in his life. However, the ‘Murder’ actor hit headlines when he referred to Aishwarya Rai as ‘plastic’ during the rapid-fire round on the fourth season of Karan Johar’s talk show ‘Koffee with Karan’.

Later, there were reports that Aishwarya Rai had refused to work with Emraan after the comments. However, Emraan has maintained that he had huge regard for Aishwarya and the comment was in a playful manner. In an interview with Lallantop, Emraan once again addressed the contentious comment and said that he would love to apologise to her if she felt offended.

“I regret it. I keep saying that I have the utmost respect for everyone I speak about. I regret it because it was distasteful. Lately, people have become very sensitive. People get mad at everything on social media. In terms of the show, we were playing a game, it was all in jest. It was supposed to be taken sportingly. There are many such games in the show. Earlier, people weren’t this sensitive,” Emraan told Lallantop.

He further added, “At that time, I just wanted to win the hamper and I ended up saying what I said.” 

Meanwhile, ICYMI: Aishwarya has never directly reacted to the comment by Emraan. However, in an interview the ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ actress was asked about the worst thing someone has ever said about her, then the gorgeous beauty stated that she was called ‘fake and plastic’.

Meanwhile, Emraan added that he was a huge fan of Aishwarya and revealed how he waited for about three hours just to get a glimpse of her.

“I was a huge fan. Mohit Suri and I were shooting in Filmistan. So we waited together to see her. I still am a big fan of hers,” Emraan revealed.

“I have never met her. I have never had a conversation with her. I would love to meet her. And I would love to apologise if she felt bad about it. I will have to meet her and ask her. I am sorry if I offended you,” Emraan signed off.
