Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon are currently busy in promoting their upcoming movie 'Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya'. Recently, Sasha was seen discussing the movie as well as his opinion on various factors related to cinema as well as being an actor.
During one such promotional interview, Shahid Kapoor was asked whether he also considers that stardom is a burden. Some time ago during an interview with Anupama Chopra, Hrithik Roshan said that he would have soared much higher as an actor if he did not have the burden of being a star.
When Sasha was asked whether he also thinks similar to what the Fighter actor perceives, the Bollywood actor said, “I can understand why he is saying it. I can. I have the opposite problem. I think I don’t want to lose the actor in me. So sometimes I sacrifice the star. I think I’m on the other side of the fence. I have the opposite problem.”
The Kabir Singh actor added, “And I could totally understand what he was saying. Ya sometimes it is also the nature of films that we do, the choices we make, the graph either of us chooses or happens to us so to say. So in that, I think his journey has been quite different and mine has been different you know.”
Then Shahid gave examples of big actors and superstars like Leonardo DiCaprio, Amitabh Bachchan , and Dilip Kumar and said that here there is a definite journey of stardom and heavy acting. The father of two said, “I have grown up watching that and I aspire for that. Now about how easy it is, in India, it is a different industry, the audience is extremely different, so that is an ongoing journey.”
He once again stressed the fact that he is not ready to let the actor in him go which says a lot about his dedication towards being an actor rather than being a star. That is why he has run away from doing the same thing again and again because he feels it is like a trap.
