Amidst speculation surrounding his marital status, a close friend has divulged that Diljit is indeed married and has a son.

According to the friend, Diljit's wife is of Indian-American descent, and they share a son. While little is known about his family, it's suggested that his parents reside in Ludhiana, while his wife and child live in the United States.
Hints regarding Diljit's fatherhood emerged during the promotions of ‘Good Newwz,’ when his co-star Kiara Advani inadvertently mentioned that everyone in the cast, including Diljit, had children. This disclosure added fuel to the speculations surrounding Diljit's family life.
Earlier in a podcast with YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, Diljit opened up about growing distant from his family at a young age.
“I was eleven years old when I left my home and started living with my mamaji (maternal uncle). I came to the city leaving my village behind. I shifted to Ludhiana. He said ‘send him to the city with me’ and my parents said ‘Yes, take him.’ My parents did not even ask me… Also, we didn’t have mobile phones back then, even if I had to call home or receive a call from my parents, it cost us money. So I started becoming distant from my family,” he said.
On the work front, Diljit is gearing up for the release of his film Amar Singh Chamkila which will stream on Netflix. The film directed by Rockstar fame director Imtiaz Ali is based on the real-life story of the Punjabi singer Amar Singh Chamkila and his wife Amarjot who were assassinated at a young age. Parineeti Chopra is playing the role of Amarjot.
