Bollywood’s original chocolate boy Shahid Kapoor is all set to make a refreshing comeback with his upcoming film ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’. The versatile actor who appeared in a couple of intense and dark roles in Farzi, Bloody Daddy, and Kabir Singh, is back to his roots of lighter roles.
He is also set to win back the hearts of his fans with his dance, extravaganza songs, and romance. Collaborating for the first time with Kriti Sanon, Shahid promises a heart-touching romantic movie with ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya.’
The first song ‘Laal Peeli Akhiyan’ from the movie was released and both Shahid and Kriti look adorable together. The song has also received a lot of love from movie lovers who are super excited for the film to release on the big screen on February 9, ahead of Valentine’s Day.
Meanwhile, during the trailer launch of the film, Shahid Kapoor admitted to not getting good roles after Kabir Singh. Speaking to the media, Shahid revealed the challenges he faces in finding good scripts to offer something new to the audience.
Despite constant suggestions to more movies and fans wanting to see more of the charming actor in him, Shahid revealed he hasn’t come across any interesting scripts, especially in the love story genre. He said he okayed for ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ seeing it as an opportunity to present a love story that hasn’t been explored before.
Despite uncertainties about how audiences will receive the film, he decided to do the film to present something fresh and unexplored in the realm of love stories. However, going by the career graph of Shahid, only his intense movies have worked for him. All his love stories, even with good content and storyline, have failed at the box office except for Vivah, Kabir Singh, and ‘Jab We Met’ which Shahid thinks were also intense movies.
Now, only time will tell if Shahid will finally break the curse of his love stories being a flop with ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’. For the unversed, Shahid is also busy in the shoot of an intense, dark thriller ‘Deva’, directed by Malayalam director Rosshan Andrrews.
