According to industry sources, Yash Raj Films is eyeing April 2026 to begin production, with a likely release in 2027. Director Ayan Mukerji has emerged as the top contender to helm the much-anticipated project. If finalized, it would add another high-octane chapter to his impressive filmography, which already includes Brahmastra and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.

What Lies Ahead

Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor remains busy with upcoming films like Brahmastra 2 and Animal Park. But for now, all eyes are on whether fan pressure will influence YRF’s casting decisions and turn the dream pairing of Ranbir and Jr NTR into reality.

On the other hand, there were also reports of ‘Pushpa’ star Allu Arjun joining Ranbir in the film. However, rumours suggest Allu Arjun has opted out of the movie and is currently focusing on his movie with Atlee.

Moreover, there are also reports of Tamil superstar Suriya playing an important role in the film. However, there is no official confirmation in this regard.
