Nag Ashwin's Kalki 2898 AD is unstoppable at the box office. The movie is all set to complete a month in theatres. According to the industry tracking website Sacnilk, the dystopian science fiction film starring Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Deepika Padukone in major roles, crossed the whopping Rs 1100 mark in gross worldwide earnings, and the Rs 739 crore gross mark in domestic collections on its 29th day. The nett earnings of Kalki 2898 AD stand at Rs 623.7 crore (domestic). With this, the magnum opus, which heavily draws inspiration from the Indian Epic Mahabharat, has become the seventh Indian film to cross Rs 1000 crore worldwide. Further, Darling Prabhas has cemented his position as one of the biggest Indian stars of his generation and Deepika has become 'unbeatable' by becoming the only actress with three flicks minting over Rs 1000 crores.
Notably, Deepika delivered two consecutive Rs 1000 crore blockbusters, i.e. Jawan and Pathaan, in 2023, alongside Shah Rukh Khan. Recently, her Kalki 2898 AD also entered the Rs 1000 crore club. With this, in just two years, Deepika achieved the milestone that other actresses can only dream of.
Collectively, her four films in a row (including Hrithik Roshan's Fighter) have crossed Rs 3600 crore. Well, such a record set by Deepika Padukone is unparalleled and is certainly tough for any other actor to surpass soon.
Amid the glorious performance of Kalki 2898 AD at the box office, rumours have been abuzz that Deepika might be seen in another highly-anticipated South flick. SSMB29 is currently the most-talked-about flick as it marks SS Rajamouli's collaboration with Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu. The African adventure action drama has been making headlines for its genre and the pre-production work has been in full swing. From the excitement building among the moviegoers for SSMB29, it can be expected that the movie will easily cross the Rs 1000 crore mark. If the rumours of Deepika's inclusion are anything to go by, the Om Shanti Om actress will secure her 4th Rs 1000 crore movie.
