Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's Chulbul Pandey from Dabangg franchise gained immense popularity and became a household name. Of course, moviegoers would love to see more of the iconic role. Recently, reports were abuzz that Salman Kahn is prepping up for Dabangg spinoff. Moreover, rumours were rife that Sallu and Arbaaz were in talks with South ace director Atlee for Dabangg 4's script. Later, the rumours were laid to rest. However, recently, Sallu has revealed a major update for Dabangg 4.
Recently, at the screening of Raveena Tandon's Patna Shukla, Salman was questioned about the swirling rumours about Dabangg 4. To this, Salman responded, "Bahut Jald, Jaise he dono bhai ek script pe lock ho jayenge. Inko (Arbaaz Khan) kuch aur banani hai, humein kuch aur, jaise he ek script pe lock hojayenge uske baad Dabangg release ho jaegi (Very soon. Once both brothers agree on a script. Arbaaz wants to make something else, and I want something else. As soon as we lock a script, Dabangg will be released).
Further, in a report in Pinkvilla, a source was quoted as saying, "Tigmanshu (Dhulia) has been working on the script for Dabangg 4 for more than a year now, and a narration will take place next year. Salman is impressed with the basic idea and vision that Tishu has for Dabangg franchise, as the entire team is looking to bring in a fresh approach to the iconic character of Chulbul Pandey."
The source also revealed that a final call on other nitty-gritty of Dabangg 4 will be taken after the script narration takes place.
"At this point, it’s work in progress as it’s too early to confirm the other aspects of the project," the source concluded.
Well, now that Salman has dropped a major update, it seems, fans will not have to wait longer to see their favourite Chulbul Pandey once again in action while tickling the funny bones.
On the work front, Salman was last seen in Tiger 3, also starring Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi. The Dabangg Khan is prepping for his next, tentatively titled 'The Bull.' Produced by Karan Johar and helmed by Vishnuvardhan, the movie is inspired by a real incident. The Kick actor has also teamed up with AR Murugadoss for another yet-to-be-titled movie. Further, Sallu has also reportedly locked dates for Tiger Vs Pathaan.
