Miss Universe Harnaaz Sandhu sued by producer and former Kapil Sharma show actress

Reigning Miss Universe Harnaaz Sandhu has landed in legal trouble for alleged breach of contract. 

According to reports, Sandhu will soon be debuting in the Punjabi film Bai Ji Kuttange produced by The Kapil Sharma Show fame actress Upasana Singh.

Sandhu had reportedly signed an agreement with Singh for the promotion of the movie, however, she allegedly refused to give dates for the movie's promotion.

Following this, on Thursday Upasana Singh filed a civil suit in the Chandigarh district court, seeking damages for the alleged breach of contract by Harnaaz Sandhu. 

"I gave Harnaaz a chance to act in the movie 'Bai ji Kuttange'. Not only this, but I also made 'Yaara Diyan Poo Baran' in which Harnaaz is the heroine as well," said Upasana outside the court. 

Harnaaz had to make herself available in person and virtually for the film's promotion under the agreement with her Santosh Entertainment Studio LLP.

"I gave chance to Harnaaz when she was not Miss Universe, I spent a huge sum on this movie. It is not a small-budget movie," added Upasana.

However, there has been no comment's from Harnaaz or her team on the issue yet.

Directed by Smeep Kang, Bai Ji Kuttange is slated to release in theatres on August 19. It also stars Dev Kharoud and Gurpreet Ghuggi in the lead.
