Bollywood megastar Salman Khan has often been in the spotlight for more than just his films. This time, he addressed a long-standing perception that he has either “made” or “ruined” people’s careers in the industry. On the latest Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss 19, Salman set the record straight in his signature candid style.
Shehnaaz’s Remark Triggers Salman’s Response
During the episode, actress-singer Shehnaaz Gill, who appeared on the show to introduce her brother Shehbaz Badesha as a wild card entrant, praised Salman for helping many in Bollywood. She said, “You’ve helped build so many people’s careers.”
To this, Salman quickly responded, “Mainai kahan banaye hai kisi ke. Career banane wala uparwala hai, main thodi hun. Log bolte hai maine dubaaye bhi hai. But I haven’t built or destroyed anyone’s career. It’s the Almighty who does that.”
“I Haven’t Ruined Anyone’s Career”
Salman further added that despite accusations, he has never intentionally harmed anyone’s professional journey. “People say I eat up careers. Which career have I eaten? If I ever do, it’ll only be my own,” he quipped, brushing aside the negativity with wit.

Shehnaaz’s Journey with Salman
Shehnaaz, who rose to fame from Bigg Boss 13, made her Bollywood debut alongside Salman in Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan (2023). The film, also starring Pooja Hegde and Venkatesh, marked her entry into Hindi cinema.
