Tollywood's rising filmmaker Prasanth Varma has been creating a significant buzz in the industry with his superhero cinematic universe. After scripting history with Teja Sajja's HanuMan, the filmmaker has made thrilling announcements of introducing a female superhero 'Mahakali' and 'Jai Hanuman'. Especially, the recent announcement of Kantara fame Rishab Shetty as the lead in Jai Hanuman has filled excitement among all. While fans are eyeing more updates about the superhero flicks under Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU), a recent report claims Prabhas is entering PVCU. Following that, a recent buzz suggests, Rebel Star Prabhas is likely replacing Ranveer Singh.
Notably, a couple of months back, it was confirmed that Ranveer Singh is locked for Varma's Rakshas in which he will play a character with negative traits. Even Ranveer had reportedly kickstarted shooting for the flick. However, after shooting for three days, the duo parted ways due to creative differences. Later, reports surfaced that Varma and Ranveer will likely team up after the final round of discussions and commence shooting as per earlier plans. However, there have been no updates on it for quite a long time.
Now, reports have surfaced about Prabhas joining forces with Varma. Amid the rumours of potential collaboration of the Baahubali actor with Varma, reports are abuzz that Prabhas is likely to replace Ranveer in Rakshas.

If the reports are anything to go by, Prabhas may take on the role with a slightly negative shade.
According to the reports, after things didn't work out with Ranveer, Varma presented the same script to Darling Prabhas. Even the Mirchi actor reportedly showed interest in playing the character with negative traits.
As of now, Prabhas is busy with multiple projects in the pipeline. Currently, he is working on The Raja Saab and also has Salaar: Part 2- Shouryanga Parvam, Spirit, a sequel to Kalki 2898 AD and a yet-to-be-titled flick with Hanu Raghavapudi. Thus, the Rebel star will not be able to give dates to Varma. So, if Varma and Prabhas finally settle with the project, Rakshas won't kick off until 2026 or 2027.
However, there is no official confirmation backing the claims. Fans need to wait for an official confirmation from the actor or the filmmaker. But, if the reports are anything to go, watching Prabhas onscreen with negative traits would definitely be a treat to watch.
