In a significant announcement, Big Hit, the label behind global sensation BTS, revealed that the remaining four members Jimin, Jung Kook, V, and RM have officially begun the process of fulfilling their military service duties. These four members, marking the remaining original members of the seven-member group, are gearing up for their enlistment, as shared by the label in a statement.
"We would like to inform our fans that RM, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook have initiated the military enlistment process," the statement conveyed. "The artists are preparing to fulfil their military service duties. We will inform you of further updates in due course."
Expressing gratitude for the ongoing support from fans, the message emphasized the collective commitment to stand by the members until they complete their military service safely. Big Hit assured fans that the company would spare no effort in providing support for the artists during this period.
This announcement comes two months after Suga embarked on his mandatory service as a social service agent, opting for an alternative to military conscription due to health considerations. Meanwhile, Jin began his service in December 2022, and Suga initiated his 18-month commitment in September 2023. The entire group is expected to fulfil their service requirements over the next few years, with a projected hiatus lasting through 2025.
While the news has stirred a range of emotions among the BTS ARMY, with some expressing disappointment and others acknowledging the inevitability of this development, fans are bracing themselves for a transition in the era of Big Hit's enlistment notices.
