While entire Maharashtra is under lockdown due to the corona pandemic, business continues for Bollywood celebrities who are now taking advantage of the low stamp duty to buy property worth crores in the Mumbai suburbs. Recently, Arjun Kapoor bought a 4BHK flat for around Rs 20 to 22 crore in a swanky location of Bandra.
Interestingly, the new flat of Arjun is in the same society where his rumoured girlfriend Malaika Arora lives with her teenage son. He will also share the neighborhood with Dabangg actress Sonakshi Sinha who purchased a flat in the same locality sometime ago.
Another big name who invested in the property during the lockdown is none other than Big B Amitabh Bachchan. The superstar bought a duplex in Oshiwara which is on the 27th and 28th floor of the Atlantis building. The flat is under construction and covers an area of around 5700 square feet for which the Shahenshah had to pay Rs 31 crore to Crystal Pride Developers.

Sunny Leone has also bought a flat worth Rs 16 crore in the same building. The Tanu Weds Manu director Anand L. Rai will also share the neighborhood with Sunny and Big B. He booked a flat worth Rs 25 crore in the Atlantis building recently. According to a real estate expert, “Due to the discount offered by the state government, a lot of big-ticket deals had taken place between September 2020 and March 2021.”
Late last year, Alia Bhatt bought a swanky 2,460 sq ft apartment on the fifth floor in Bandra’s Pali Hill Vastu building for Rs 32 crore. This is the same building where her boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor has a house on the 7th floor.
Other celebrities who made the headlines during the corona pandemic for buying luxurious properties include Hrithik Roshan (Rs 100 crore property in Juhu), Bhushan Kumar (Rs 167.5 crore villa in Juhu), Arshad Warsi (a heritage Portuguese property in Goa), and Janhvi Kapoor (Rs 39 crore plush flat in Juhu).
