Allu Arjun's Arrest After Woman Killed In Stampede
Notably, last year in December, Allu Arjun attended the special screening of Pushpa 2: The Rule at the Sandhya Theater in Hyderabad. As a huge crowd gathered to catch a glimpse of the superstar, a stampede broke out outside the cinema hall. Sadly, a 35-year-old woman died and her 8-year-old son was critically injured in the stampede. Following an uproar, Allu Arjun was arrested a week later and remained in custody until he secured bail and walked out. Many blamed the actor for the stampede and his residence was also vandalised by protesters.
Who Is To Be Blamed?
Now, following the tragic Bengaluru stampede incident, Allu Arjun's fans have drawn parallels with the Sandhya theatre stampede. Several users have also questioned, 'Who is to be blamed and who will be arrested' in the Bengaluru stampede incident. While many commented that if Allu Arjun was arrested, Virat Kohli should be arrested, a few others suggested that the RCB team should be taken into custody.
Users also blamed the government for failing to manage the crowd during victory celebrations.
Here's What Karnataka CM Said
Meanwhile, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, reacting to the tragic Bengaluru stampede, said, Such incidents happened in so many places. I am not going to defend this by comparing it with them now by saying it happened here and there. In Kumbh Mela, 50-60 people died, I didn't criticise it."
Further, he asked, "If Congress criticises, then that is a different matter. Did I or the Karnataka government criticise?"
