Superstar Salman Khan’s ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ is one of the biggest blockbusters of his career. Directed by Kabir Khan, the comedy-drama film was based on an original story by screenwriter, V. Vijayendra Prasad, father of the genius director, SS Rajamouli.
The film tells the story of Pawan Kumar Chaturvedi, a Hanuman devotee, who embarks on a journey to take a mute six-year-old Muslim girl, separated in India from her mother, back to her hometown in Pakistan.
The film received widespread critical acclaim upon release and became a huge commercial success becoming the fourth-highest grossing Hindi film till now. Meanwhile, in what comes as good news for Salman Khan fans, the makers are coming up with the much-awaited sequel of the movie.
Yes, you read that right! Vijayendra Prasad confirmed that the script for ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2’ was ready and was waiting for the superstar’s approval. During the promotional event for Aayush Sharma’s upcoming flick ‘Ruslaan’, producer K Radhamohan in the presence of Vijayendra confirmed that the script is ready and will soon be narrated to Salman.
The news has sparked a wave of excitement among the fans of Salman Khan, who is currently in Dubai after the shooting incident outside his Galaxy Apartments in Bandra, Mumbai.
While there has been no official confirmation, reports suggest the film is currently titled ‘Pawan Putra Bhaijaan’ and will see Pooja Hegde opposite Salman. Buzz is that, Pooja Hegde has replaced Kareena Kapoor as the female lead of the film.
Interestingly, Salman and Pooja were seen together in ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ that did not fare well at the box office. Meanwhile, reports suggest that Salman Khan is prepping for Tamil director AR Murugadoss’ ‘Sikandar’ after production delay of Karan Johar’s ‘The Bull’.
This apart, he has a couple of more movies in his kitty including Pathaan vs Tiger opposite superstar Shah Rukh Khan.
