AR Rahman's bassist Mohini Dey’s 'In love for second time' post goes viral

AR Rahman and his wife Saira announced divorce last week. Hours after this announcement, the famous bassist and colleague of Rahman- Mohini Dey announced separation from her husband Mark. At that time many thought that it was too coincidental that both people from the same musical fraternity were announcing a split from their respective partners. Rumours were adrift that Rahman cheated with his wife for Mohini and that created a rift between the veteran couple.

However, both Saira and Mohini have now come up with an explanation regarding the truth behind their respective separation. While Saira has said that she is separating from Rahman due to health reasons, Mohini has slammed the affair rumours saying that Rahman is like a father figure to her. Amid all these allegations and shocking divorce news, an old post of Mohini Dey which continues to be pinned on her Instagram page has gone viral.

The post shows the famous bassist aggressively playing an upright electric bass whereas the caption reads, “I think I am in love for the 2nd time.” Actually, here she is not talking about some person but referring to her electric CR5M bass in steel gray which she seems to have fallen in love with. This particular NS Design CR5M is created from strong, European ebony and hard maple and is well known the world over for its versatility and tonal quality.

Her followers seem to be pretty impressed with the way Mohini Dey is playing this instrument and have made comments like “stunning,” “awesome,” and others. Mohini who has collaborated with international musicians is often criticised for her bold dressing style but loves to live life her way and even on one occasion said, “I feel like Judgements are like FARTS, they come and go and I don't really care too much about them.”
