Kavya and Vanraj are finally married and as expected Kavya is very happy. But the Shah family members have not forgiven Kavya for the way she threatened to make a complaint against them in the police station when Vanraj was missing. When Baa and the other family members do not welcome her in the house Kavya arranges her griha pravesh.
Once inside the house, she tells Baa that she never intended to send them to jail and threatened them only because Vanraj left the wedding venue without informing her. But Baa does not believe her and says that for her no one can take place of Anupamaa as a daughter-in-law and she decides to leave the house and stay with Anu. The entire family follows her much to the disappointment of Kavya.
Even Vanraj is very much disappointed and upset with all this and says to Kavya that she must learn how to behave and talk with his family members. But this has little effect on Kavya who starts decorating the bedroom for her first night with Vanraj.

As is known Anu has been diagnosed with cancer and is undergoing treatment from Dr Advait. The earlier episodes showed how she tried to keep her disease a secret from the family for a long time but had to share the news ultimately with them when the doctors advised her to undergo surgery.
