Kher is a highly versatile actor. Apart from Karma, the actor played the unforgettable character of a cruel Jugran in Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja. From the alcohol-addicted Pooja Bhatt’s father in Daddy to Pops of Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Anupam has been a versatile actor rocking all types of roles from villain, character actor, friend (Chandni and Lamhe), supporting actor (Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, Vivah), to government officer (Baby, Wednesday) and even the lead actor (Khosla Ka Ghosla, The Kashmir Files).

With his immense talent over the years, Anupam Kher has managed to earn multiple awards. He has won several National Film Awards, and the first was Best Supporting Actor for Saaransh. The Government of India first honoured him with Padma Shri and later on with Padma Bhushan. He has made a record by becoming the only actor winning the Filmfare award for different categories for 9 consecutive years out of which 5 awards were given for his roles as a comedian.

He is a renowned acting teacher and runs an acting school “Actor Prepares.” Over the years he has helped many aspiring actors to sharpen their acting skills and get work in Bollywood.
