Big B Recalls Special Moment With Parents
On the quiz show, Big B recalled taking them to an expensive restaurant for the very first time. He said the memory has stayed with him ever since and remains close to his heart.
When contestant Vijay spoke about making his parents proud, Amitabh Bachchan reflected on a similar moment from his own life. “This man sitting before you also had such a day,” he said. (In Hindi)
He continued, “I remember the first time I ever ate at a restaurant. It was Moti Mahal, a very fine place in Delhi, and I went there only after finishing college. I had taken my parents along, and that occasion has stayed with me forever, just as yours has stayed with you.” (In Hindi)
He went on to recall, “I had earned a little money and decided to treat them. I was quite nervous; it was a big restaurant where important people dined, and I often wondered if we really belonged there. Questions raced through my mind: how would people look at us, what would they say, were our clothes good enough? All these thoughts made me anxious, so I can truly understand how you felt.” (In Hindi)
