Odisha's government is finalizing a film policy to revive the Odia film industry, offering financial support and infrastructure upgrades. Industries Minister Sampad Chandra Swain emphasized plans to achieve national recognition through subsidies and rural cinema development. The Odisha Film Development Corporation has allocated Rs 4.68 crore in subsidies since 2018, though critics argue for more substantial funding.
Meanwhile, Odisha Deputy CM Pravati Parida has welcomed other film industries to explore Odisha’s potential.

As Koraput has caught global attention due to the presence of the star actors and ace director SS Rajamouli, the shooting of the highly anticipated globe-trotting movie, tentatively titled ‘SSMB29’ is underway in full swing.
