Ahaan Panday, came, conquered, and is here to stay. The newcomer’s stellar performance in Mohit Suri’s Saiyaara has left audiences mesmerised, marking the arrival of a promising new star in Bollywood. Remarkably, Saiyaara achieved what many Hindi films have struggled to do in recent years drawing audiences back to theatres to watch fresh faces light up the big screen.

In a candid chat with The Hollywood Reporter India, Ahaan opened up about his early social media days. “When I was active on Instagram, the persona I had wasn’t who I really was; it was who I thought I needed to be to get attention from the film fraternity,” he revealed. Ahead of Saiyaara’s release, the actor even took down old videos that no longer reflected his true self.

Becoming Krish Kapoor

Talking about his breakout role as Krish Kapoor, Ahaan admitted he never expected to play such an intense character. “The auditions I used to do were softer, goofier, the boy-next-door types,” he said. “Krish is definitely not someone you’d want living next door.”

Off-Screen Opposites

Interestingly, his co-star Aneet Padda, who played the shy poet Vaani, revealed that on set, everyone teased them by saying Ahaan was the real-life Vaani, while she was the real Krish.

A Promising Future

With their sizzling debut and undeniable talent, Ahaan and Aneet have proven they’re not just newcomers, they’re stars in the making. Bollywood now waits eagerly to see how these rising talents explore their versatility in the years ahead.
