Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s first item song of her career from the movie Pushpa: The Rise has made her a household name across India. Reportedly, she was reluctant to do the song Oo Antava, but Tollywood superstar Allu Arjun who was the lead hero of the movie encouraged and coaxed her to say yes, and today she believes that many people now recognise her due to this song.
Samantha had received a big amount of around Rs 2 to 3 crore for this item song which was almost equal to what the leading lady of the film Rashmika Mandanna was paid. Now, Pooja Hegde too has reportedly given her nod for an item number in a Southern movie. The Beast actress will be seen doing the item number in the movie F3 starring Varun Tej and Venkatesh.
The Director of the movie Anil Ravipudi thought of having an item number in the movie. And, it was Dil Raju who recommended the name of Pooja Hegde for the item song in F3 which also stars Mehreen and Tamannaah Bhatia as the leading ladies. Pooja reportedly demanded Rs 1 crore for the item number and the demand was accepted by the team of F3. While the entire focus of the item number will be on the Radhe Shyam actress, other important characters from the movie will also be a part of this song.
For actresses, a hit item number to their credit is nothing short of a super hit movie because they can dance to these songs during various film events and functions and earn a good amount through their performances. Big Bollywood stars like Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra Jonas have done a good job of entertaining the audience with their item numbers in the past.
Be it Kats’ Chikani Chameli or PeeCee’s Ram Chahe Leela Chahe, both these songs added to the superstardom of these Bollywood leading ladies. Even Samantha got hugely benefitted after her item number became a big hit. Now, it would be interesting to see whether Pooja Hegde succeeds in delivering a hit popular number with F3’s item song and add more worth to her stardom.
