The box office rampage of HanuMan, starring Teja Sajja in the lead, continues even after 10 days of its release. Helmed by Prasanth Varma, the movie's worlwide collection has crossed the Rs 200 crore mark.
While movie lovers across the country are showering praises on the movie that performed beyond expectations even without any association of big names or a popular star cast, director Varma has already started prepping for his next titled 'Jai Hanuman.'
Varma officially announced his next while the entire country was celebrating the 'Ram Mandir Pran Pratistha' ceremony.
Varma took to X (formerly Twitter) and expressed his gratitude to all for the overwhelming response for HanuMan.
His post read: With gratitude for the immense love and support showered upon #HanuMan from audiences across the globe, I stand at the threshold of a new journey by making a promise to myself! #JaiHanuman Pre-Production Begins on the auspicious day of #RamMandirPranPrathistha (sic)
He also shared a movie poster that shows Lord Hanuman and Shri Ram. The other picture shows Varma holding the script book of the movie while standing in front of Lord Hanuman's idol inside a temple.
As it seems from the poster, Jai Hanuman is a part of his cinematic universe which also includes HanuMan.
On Monday, Mythri Movie Makers, one of the distributors of the Teja Sajja-starrer HanuMan, announced that the film has grossed Rs 200 crore worldwide.
The post read: "Jai Shri Ram. With the divine blessings of Lord Shree Ram, #HanuManRAMpage continues to soar higher at the box office. 200 crore worldwide collections for #HANUMAN in just 10 days. Nizam Release by @MythriOfficial. A @PrasanthVarma film, starring @tejasajja123." (sic)
Now, the post announcing the new project has filled excitement among all. While several fans urged to drop hints on the lead character in the movie, others wished him luck for the movie.
On Sunday, a day ahead of the consecration ceremony in Ayodhya, the team of HanuMan announced that they will donate over Rs 2.6 crore to the Ram Temple. The company said the film's team had pledged Rs 5 from each ticket of HanuMan for the cause.
