The rumours surrounding Bollywood star couple Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan have been circulating for quite some time now. Amid the circulating rumours, Abhishek Bachchan recently thanked his wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and also admitted being 'lucky'. Well, this is not the first time when Abhishek praised his wife. Both Aish and Junior Bachchan have always been each other's cheerleaders. Well, here we bring an instance when the Dhoom actor got protective of his wife and slammed those who called her 'plastic'.

In an old interview with BBC Asian Network, Abhishek said, "Actually if you go to see, and now I'm not speaking like a husband, I'm speaking like a co-star and an actor. She happens to have done some of the most daring kind of roles, that an actor who's basically meant to have been known only for her beauty, could have done."

Further, he also said that people focus on her beauty, not her talent.

Recently, during an interview with The Hindu, Abhishek thanked Aish for being a responsible and sacrificing mother. He also said that he is grateful for facilitating him to go and work in films.

Abhishek said, "Even in my household, I'm very lucky I get to go out and make the movies. But I know that Aishwarya is at home with Aaradhya, and I thank her immensely for that."

Further, he added that he doesn't think that children think about it that way.

"They don't look upon you in third person. They look upon you in the first, you're the parent, the father or the mother," he added.

Recalling his childhood days, the Paa actor said that he didn't ever feel that his parents were absent either. Notably, when his father Amitabh Bachchan was at the peak of his acting career, his mother Jaya Bachchan took a backseat and focused on family after his birth.

Well, the Dhoom actor also confessed that as a child he never thought of it. Though his father was not around, his mother took a break from acting and spent time with children.

On the work front, Abhishek Bachchan's 'I Want To Talk', helmed by Shoojit Sircar, is running in the theatres. While the box office performance of the flick is unsatisfactory, Junior Bachchan's performance has received mixed response.
