Aamir Khan’s power-packed upcoming movies at 60 prove he’s retiring a Megastar
At 60, Bollywood's Mr. Perfectionist, Aamir Khan, is showing no signs of slowing down. If anything, his upcoming film lineup is more impressive than most young stars' entire careers. Known for his selective approach and unmatched dedication to craft, Aamir is now channeling his energy into a slew of high-profile, high-impact projects, both as an actor and a producer.
As per reports, Aamir is creatively involved in developing multiple films that span genres, generations, and cinematic sensibilities. Topping the list is Char Din Ki Zindagi, a thought-provoking drama reuniting him with acclaimed director Rajkumar Santoshi. The duo is also working on Andaz Apna Apna 2, a sequel fans have waited decades for.
Aamir is also backing a biopic on noted public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam, in collaboration with producer Dinesh Vijan, and another ambitious project—a long-gestating Kishore Kumar biopic helmed by Anurag Basu. Additionally, he is developing a film with Rang De Basanti director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, keeping patriotic storytelling alive.
His partnership with Bhushan Kumar and Tushar Hiranandani will bring the story of music mogul Gulshan Kumar to the big screen, while a sequel to the cult classic PK is also reportedly in the works with Rajkumar Hirani and Abhijat Joshi.
In the most unexpected twist, Aamir is said to be exploring the superhero genre in a film with Lokesh Kanagaraj, of Vikram fame.
Clearly, Aamir Khan isn’t just planning a comeback—he’s orchestrating a cinematic onslaught. If this is how he plans to retire, he’s doing it like the megastar he’s always been.
