After a short hiatus, Aamir Khan is making a comeback to the movies with Sitare Zameen Par. His recently bankrolled project 'Laapataa Ladies,' released on March 1, is receiving mixed reviews. Directed by his ex-wife Kiran Rao 'Laapataa Ladies' is a comedy movie in which hilarious sequences take place, one after the other, after two brides get lost on a train.
Currently, Aamir Khan is busy promoting the movie on all platforms and events. Recently he came online for an interactive session with his fans and answered some of the questions put forth by the social media users. One of the users in his comment said, “Sir aapko Pathaan jaisi acchi movie banana chahiye.”
Replying to the same, the Laal Singh Chaddha actor said, “Yaar Shah Rukh bana raha hai na acchi Pathaan jaisi. Main banata hoon Laapataa Ladies. Aap woh dekho.” While many felt that it was a way for Aamir Khan to take a dig at Shah Rukh Khan , most of the fans of the superstar said that he was simply promoting his movie without disrespecting Pathaan or SRK.
Apart from these two movies, Aamir Khan is creating quite a wave on social media for his latest commercial for Thums Up Charged, another soft drink from the brand producing Thums Up. The Bollywood superstar has teamed up with his young co-star Darsheel Safary from Tare Zameen Par. While Darsheel looks good and grown up it is the versatility of Aamir as an actor in this commercial that has been the highlight.
The Dil actor has portrayed almost 9 to 10 characters from the grandfather of Darsheel, a primitive man discovering fire to a caveman and an astronaut in the advertisement of just a few minutes. Netizens have hailed him as the master of disguise. Years before Aamir had done multiple characters for another cold drink brand and even those commercials became big hits.
