Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan is basking in the success of his recent release Sitaare Zameen Par. After six weeks of its theatrical release, the spiritual sequel to Taare Zameen Par is heading to YouTube. Cinephiles can watch the movie by paying Rs 100 on a pay-per-view model. Well, to make the announcement, the Laal Singh Chaddha actor teamed up with his sons Junaid Khan and Azad Khan for a hilarious video and recreated a bone-tickling scene from his iconic movie Andaz Apna Apna.
Aamir Khan's Special Announcement
Aamir Khan turned down a Rs 125 crore OTT subscription deal and launched a new YouTube channel called 'Aamir Khan Talkies'. As shared by Khan, all movies from his production house will be eventually available on this channel, with some accessible for free and other content behind pay wall. Moreover, the channel will support and promote work by new filmmakers.
To announce the move, Khan teamed up with his sons Junaid Khan and Azad Khan to recreate a memorable scene from his classic cult film Andaz Apna Apna.
While the PK actor played the role of Deven Verma (who played his father in Andaz Apna Apna), Junaid stepped into the shoes of his father and essayed Aamar.
The father-son duo recreated the scene where Aamar tries to convince his father to shut down their barber shop and open a bangle shop. The duo use the same setting and discuss the release of Sitaare Zameen Par on YouTube.
While the Dangal actor humorously mentioned some of his past flops, he also jokingly stated Junaid as a 'Nepo Kid.'
Khan's younger son, Azad and filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi added to the excitement of the viewers with their cameos.
Well, netizens have enjoyed the video to the fullest, which is evident from the flooded comments section.
Many hailed Khan for daring to joke about his own flop films and son. Meanwhile, several others demanded Andaz Apna Apna 2, which was earlier announced by the Laal Singh Chaddha star.
