Bollywood’s Mr. Perfectionist, Aamir Khan, is facing family drama spilling into the public eye. His brother Faissal Khan, who starred alongside him in the 2000 film Mela, recently shocked fans by alleging that Aamir mistreated him and even locked him in a room for over a year. The accusations, described by many as explosive, have deeply upset the Sitaare Zameen Par star and his loved ones.

Aamir Khan and Family Issues Statement

In a rare united front, Aamir and his entire family have now issued an official statement, calling Faissal’s allegations 'hurtful and misleading', making it clear they won’t stay silent as the controversy grows.

The statement read, "We are distressed by Faissal's hurtful and misleading portrayal of his mother Zeenat Tahir Husain, his sister Nikhat Hegde, and his brother Aamir. As this is not the first time he has misrepresented these events, we feel it necessary to clarify our intentions and reaffirm our solidarity as a family."

Further, it read, "It is important to share that every choice regarding Faissal has been taken collectively as a family, in consultation with multiple medical professionals, and has been based on love, compassion, and a desire to support his emotional and psychological wellbeing. For this reason, we have refrained from publicly discussing the details of a painful and difficult period for our family."

"We request the media for empathy, and to refrain from turning a private matter into salacious, inflammatory and hurtful gossip," the statement concluded.

The statement included the names of family Members: Reena Datta, Junaid Khan, Ira Khan, Farhat Datta, Rajiv Datta, Kiran Rao, Santosh Hegde, Seher Hegde, Mansoor Khan, Nuzhat Khan, Imran Khan, Tina Fonseca, Zayn Marie Khan, Pablo Khan.

Here's What Faissal Said

During a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Faissal Khan alleged that his own family branded him as schizophrenic, calling him “a mad person” who could “harm society.” He went on to claim that, years ago, brother Aamir Khan confined him inside their Mumbai home for over a year.

Recalling that period, Faissal said he felt completely trapped. “They kept saying I had schizophrenia, that I was a mad person who could harm society. All this was being said about me… and I kept wondering, how do I break out of this chakravyuh?” he said.

He further added, "Chakravyuh ho gaya tha mere liye. Main usme fass gaya tha kyunki saari family mere khilaaf jaa rahi thi. Mujhe pagal samjh rahe the (How do I get out of this trap? It was a trap for me. I was stuck in it because my family was against me. They were thinking I'm mad).”
