Samantha Akkineni, who is going to make her digital debut in Amazon Prime’s The Family Man Season 2, will be seen in a never seen before bold avatar in the web series.
Samantha is known for accepting challenging roles and she will be portraying a character with grey shades for the first time in her career in The Family Man 2.
She will be essaying the role of ‘Raji’ in the series, who is new nemesis of the protagonist Srikant Tiwari (Manoj Bajpayee).

The spy thriller’s director duo Raj & DK said that they wanted a south actor for the role of ‘Raji’ and Samantha was their first choice after they were bowled out by Samantha’s performance in Super Deluxe.
Speaking to Telugu 360, Raj and DK said, “Samantha has a bold role in The Family Man: Season 2. We were not sure about Samantha’s response when we first approached. But she was quite positive which left us surprised.”
“Her character will surprise everyone. She has a role with boldness and edginess in The Family Man. Samantha delivered her best in the role” added the ace director duo.
So, it will be a treat for Samantha’s fan to watch their favourite star in a different avatar.
Meanwhile, media reports are making rounds that The Family Man Season 2 will be released on June 11 which will see the return of NIA Agent Srikant Tiwari balancing his professional and personal life while trying to stop a chemical attack.
Apart from Manoj Bajpayee and Samantha Akkineni, the cast of The Family Man also include Priyamani, Sharib Hashmi, Neeraj Madhav and Shreya Dhanwanthary.
