Kiara Advani 's latest release 'Govinda Naam Mera' has failed to impress the audience. While many things are to be blamed for the poor show of the movie which also stars Vicky Kaushal and Bhumi Pednekar , the actress recently opened up about her work in the movie.
During a latest interview, Kiara said, “I surrendered to filmmaker Shashank Khaitan’s vision for Govinda Naam Mera. As an actor, I’m always trying to understand my director's vision. Eventually, it’s this one person's vision. So, you have to be in sync with your director.”
She went on to add, “Whether it’s a theatrical or digital release... Even while putting up the trailer, there are little butterflies about whether people will like it or not. The first verdict comes from there. The next two weeks are kind of chill. You are promoting, laughing, and remembering how amazing it was shooting together.”
While Vicky had elevated the anticipation and expectation of movie lovers with his never-seen avatar in the comedy thriller flick written and helmed by Shashank Khaitan, Govinda Naam Mera received mixed reviews.
Though most people enjoyed Vicky’s energy, dance performance and comic timing, the combination of the trio failed to entice movie lovers. Released on Disney + Hotstar, a poor story and even poorer execution have been cited as the reason behind Govinda Naam Mera’s stumpy show.
