Renowned playback singer Anuradha Paudwal, the melody queen of the 1980s and 1990s, is known for captivating the audience for decades with her melodious voice and emotional renditions.
The veteran singer will always be remembered for her immense contribution to Bollywood music. However, she recently opened up on Bollywood remixes and revealed how horrible she felt.
During an interview with Indian Express, the veteran singer opened up about the recent Bollywood culture of remixing and recreations of old Bollywood songs. She also talked openly about her reaction to her songs being remixed.
Speaking about her reaction to Arijit Singh’s version of her original song ‘Aaj Phir Tum Pe’, the singer said that she had to listen to her own version multiple times to forget the remixed version. She further added that she was left horrified.
“When there is a remix, I’m horrified and want to cry. I put my own songs and listen to them multiple times to forget the remix version,” she was quoted as saying.
The versatile singer added that she was in tears after listening to Arijit Singh’s version of her song ‘Aaj Phir Tum Pe Pyaar Aya Hai’. The old version was originally picturised on Madhuri Dixit and Vinod Khanna while Arijit Singh remixed it for ‘Hate Story 2’.
Worth mentioning, Anuradha has given several chartbusters songs like ‘Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin’, ‘Jaane Jigar Jaaneman’ from Aashiqui. She has also sung bhajans and aartis like ‘Aisi Lagi Lagan’ and ‘Maiyya Yashoda’.
