Preparations for the special matriculation examination 2021, starting tomorrow, is almost over. The exams will be conducted in offline mode and all necessary Covid-19 protocols will be strictly followed, said School and Mass Education Minister, Samir Ranjan Dash on Thursday.
The offline matriculation examination will be conducted at 504 centres across the State. More than 15,000 students have filled up forms for the exams since they were not satisfied with the Class 10 results which were announced on June 25 based on a certain evaluation criteria.
The matriculation results were announced without conducting the Board exams which had been cancelled owing to the Covid-19 pandemic situation this year. The offline Matric examination will conclude on August 5, 2021.

BSE president, Ramashish Hazra said necessary instructions have been issued to all teachers and those engaged in examination duty to ensure that all the Covid-19 guidelines are strictly followed.
Earlier, all the staff who will be engaged for exam duty had undergone Covid test. “Special squads at district-levels have been constituted to ensure that there is no violation of Covid protocols,” said Hazra.
According to BSE officials, mobile phones have been completely banned at exam centres. The restrictions will also be applicable for teachers and other staff deployed at the centre. The students will undergo thermal scanning before they were allowed into the examination centre. Wearing masks and other social distancing norms will be strictly followed, Hazra said.
