Professor Bibhuti Bhusan Biswal has been appointed as the new Vice Chancellor of Odisha University of Technology and Research (OUTR).
Governor of Odisha and Chancellor of Universities, Prof Ganeshi Lal appointed Prof Biswal as the Vice Chancellor of OUTR. His appointment has been made for a period of four years with effect from the date he assumes office as such or until further orders whichever is earlier.
Prof Biswal has more than 36 years of experience. He is currently serving as the Director of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Meghalaya.
He has authored three books and successfully guided 24 PhD and 45 M Phil scholars.
Notably, the Odisha Assembly passed the Odisha University of Technology and Research Bill 2021 on September 4, 2021. Later, the Bhubaneswar-based government-run College of Engineering and Technology (CET) upgraded to the Odisha University of Technology and Research (OUTR).
