Odisha School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash on Wednesday said that as many as 16000 teachers will be recruited by the end of November to address the teachers' shortage issue in the State.
"The process to recruit around 16000 teachers is already underway. And we hope, by the end of November or before December, it will be completed," he said.
Dash said that the Naveen Patnaik government is more concerned about the education system in the State and taking all steps to address the issues.

"Students are the future of the nation. Therefore, as per the direction of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, we are currently giving more focus on education of students," he said.
He further said that renovation of schools in the State will be completed in the next three years. "There will be no shortage of teachers as the recruitment process is underway. And, the State government has already taken all the steps for the same," the Minister stated.
Recently, the Directorate of Secondary Education (DSE) Odisha conducted document verification of candidates who qualified in the Computer Based Test (CBT) from October 30, 2021, onwards.
Later, the DSE decided to conduct the verification of documents for contractual Hindi, Sanskrit and Physical Education teachers, again on November 3, giving a chance to candidates who gave a miss to the earlier dates.
As per reports, a total of 4619 teacher posts will be filled up through the recruitment drive in government Secondary schools across the State.
