After a gap of two years, students sat for the tests in offline mode. A total of 5,71,909 students will be appearing for the High School Certificate exam while 9378 and 4443 students will write for the State Open School Certificate Examination (SOSC) and Madhyama examinations, respectively.

Braving a sweltering heatwave condition across the state, lakhs of students appeared for the annual matriculation examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) on Friday. The High School Certificate (HSC) examination, Madhyama (Sanskrit) examination and State Open School Certificate examination will be held till May 6 in offline mode.
