Over 22 lakh candidates appeared for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, NEET UG 2025, which was conducted on May 4 in a single shift from 2 PM to 5 PM.
This year’s examination, held across the country, as said by participants, was lengthier and more difficult compared to previous editions.
Release of Provisional Answer Key:
As the exam concluded, candidates are now eagerly awaiting the release of the provisional answer key. Based on trends from previous years, the National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to publish the provisional answer key by the end of May 2025.
Following its release, candidates will be given an opportunity to raise objections through an online portal.
According to the anticipated schedule, the objection window is likely to open in the first week of June. During this period, candidates can challenge specific answers by submitting a formal objection along with a prescribed fee for each question contested. This process allows the NTA to review discrepancies and revise the key if necessary.
Release of NEET UG 2025 Result:
After assessing the challenges received, the NTA will prepare and release the final answer key. It is important to note that the final answer key may differ from the provisional version and serves as the basis for result preparation. Typically, the final key is published shortly before the declaration of results.
As per current expectations, the NEET UG 2025 result is likely to be announced by June 14, approximately four to five weeks after the exam. Candidates will be able to access their results and final answer key via the official website at neet.nta.nic.in.
To download the provisional answer key, once released, candidates should visit the official NEET UG website, log in with their application number and date of birth, and follow the steps provided on the homepage to view the document.
