It is the dream of parents to see their children become doctors, engineers, and scientists. However, Sandeep Kumar Bhatt, an IIT Delhi gold medalist, left his high-paying job to become a monk.
Instead of living a luxurious life, he chose the religious path. He was only 28 when he gave up all worldly pleasures to become a monk.
According to sources, Sandeep Kumar Bhatt did his engineering from the IIT Delhi. He was a gold medalist of his batch in 2002. After completing his M.Tech, he got a high-paying job at Larsen & Toubro for 3 years. However, life took an unexpected turn when he decided to give up his luxurious life and high-paying job.
After working at Larsen & Toubro from 2004 to 2007, he decided to become a monk and even changed his name to Swami Sundar Gopal Das.
On his decision to become a monk, Swami Sundar Gopal Das said that people will find many engineers, doctors, IAS, judges, scientists, and leaders in society but we will not be able to find anyone whose mission is to show a different path to the society or to build the character of people.
