Hailing from Meham in Rohtak, Haryana, IAS Ankita comes from a modest, lower-middle-class family. Her father, Satyavan, works as an accountant in a sugar mill, while her mother was a homemaker who shaped Ankita’s early values and character. She completed her schooling at Indus Public School, Rohtak, where she stood out as a hardworking student with a strong sense of independence.

Academic Achievements

With a keen interest in academics, Ankita pursued Chemistry at Hindu College, Delhi University, and later completed her master’s degree at IIT Delhi. It was during her post-graduation that she felt a strong calling to join the Indian Administrative Service. After finishing her studies, she devoted herself fully to UPSC preparation.

Current Posting

As per reports, Ankita is currently serving as the Additional Commissioner of Gurugram Municipal Corporation. Before this, she worked as an Additional Deputy Commissioner in Sonepat, where she was actively involved in governance and public welfare initiatives.
