Meet 2011 IIT-JEE topper Prudhvi Tej who attended IIT Bombay, left ₹70L job to become IAS officer

He was the topper of IIT-JEE 2011 with AIR-1 and went to the prestigious IIT Bombay. He was then getting Rs 70L package, but his inner calling was IAS. So, he left his high-paying job and began his UPSC preparation.

His determination and hard work paid off and he secured an AIR-24 to become an IAS officer. He has proved that nothing is impossible if you strive for something with all your heart. Well, we are talking about the Prudhvi Tej Immadi, the young bureaucrat from Andhra Pradesh.

Born in Dwaraka Tirumala in Andhra Pradesh, Prudhvi secured AIR-1 in IIT-JEE 2011 and attended IIT Bombay to pursue his degree in Electrical Engineering. He then secured an international job offer with an annual salary of Rs 70L with Samsung in South Korea even before the internship.

The same year, he also won the Aditya Birla Scholarship. After working in South Korea for some time, Prudhvi decided to give UPSC a try and returned to India. He spent more than 14 hours a day preparing and revising old papers and going through the syllabus.

All his hard work paid off and he secured AIR-24. Today, he is the Chairman and Managing Director of Andhra Pradesh Eastern Power Distribution Company Limited (APEPDCL). He is an inspiration to many.
