Cognizant, the leading American multinational IT services and consulting firm, has found itself at the centre of social media trolling after it announced an off-campus hiring drive for the 2024 batch with annual package of Rs 2.52 LPA.

The salary package which translates to around Rs 21,000 per month before deductions has drawn widespread criticism from netizens across the globe.

“Cognizant has announced an exciting off-campus mass hiring drive, welcoming applications from candidates belonging to the 2024 batch. Application deadline - August 14. Package - INR 2.52 LPA,” read the job post.

As expected, social media users did not mince their words in brutally trolling the IT giant.

“2.25 LPA is too much, they should reduce it to 1.8 LPA. What would a graduate do with such huge package?” a user hilariously trolled.

Another user shared, “2.52 LPA is very generous. What will the graduates do with so much money 🤔 Wow, 2 lakhs per year? My driver makes way more than that, working just 4 days a week. Lol.”

“Isse jyada paisa to momo wale ke helper me hye...,” shared another user.
