She was studying in Class IX when she got the chance to meet late President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. The Missile man of India had given her a handwritten letter with many inspirational things written on it.
This inspired her so much that she rejected 16 government job offers including one at the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). She also declined several offers from reputed private institutions and cracked the Civil Service Exam (CSE) in her first attempt to become an IPS officer.
Well, she is none other than IPS Tripti Bhatt, one of the most loved IPS officers in the country. Thanks to President APJ Abdul Kalam that the nation got a super-talented top cop in the form of IPS Trupti Bhatt.
Hailing from Almora, Tripti was born to a teachers’ family and is the eldest of four siblings. She did her schooling from Beersheba School and later joined Kendriya Vidyalaya to pursue Class 12.
After completing High School, she went to do her B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Pantnagar University. Tripti had cleared six government job exams including ISRO, but her heart was in UPSC. She rejected all of these offers to fulfill her dream of becoming an IPS officer after being inspired by President APJ Abdul Kalam.
The talented bureaucrat cleared her CSE in her first attempt and secured 165th rank in UPSC Civil Services Examination 2013. She has been the gold medal winner in marathon and state-level badminton competitions. She is also a pro in Taekwondo and Karate.
