IIT Roorkee to begin GATE 2025 registration on Aug 24; here's all you need to know

The Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee will commence the GATE 2025 registration process on August 24, 2024. 

Candidates interested in applying for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering can access the registration link on the official IIT GATE website at gate2025.iitr.ac.in. 

According to the official website, the deadline for regular online application or registration without a late fee is September 26, 2024. 

The last date to apply with a late fee is October 7, 2024.

The GATE 2025 examinations are scheduled to take place on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2024. Each examination day will include two sessions: forenoon and afternoon. 

The IIT GATE will be conducted as a computer-based test (CBT), featuring a total of 30 test papers. The test medium will be English only.

According to the official website, "Candidates who are currently studying in the 3rd or higher years of any undergraduate degree program or who have completed any government-approved degree program in Engineering/Technology/Architecture/Science/Commerce/Arts/Humanities are eligible to appear for GATE 2025."

How to Register

• Eligible candidates can apply online by following these steps

• Visit the official IIT GATE website at gate2025.iitr.ac.in

• Click on the GATE 2025 registration link available on the home page

• Register on the new page that opens

• Log in to your account

• Fill out the application form and pay the application fee

• Click on submit and download the confirmation page

• Keep a hard copy for future reference

The application fee is Rs 1800 per test paper for all other candidates, including foreign nationals. For Female/SC/ST/PwD candidates, the fee is Rs 900. per test paper. Payments should be made through online mode only.
