The Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar has introduced an e-Masters in Data Science for Decision Making (DSDM), a two-year online degree designed to help professionals apply data science skills in real-world decision-making. The programme aims to close the gap between technical knowledge and practical outcomes.
Open to Graduates from Diverse Backgrounds
DSDM is open to graduates with at least 60% marks or 6.0 CPI in fields such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Technology, Science, Economics, or Commerce. Applicants must have studied Mathematics in Class 12. A GATE score is not required.
The curriculum is designed to welcome learners from different disciplines and focuses on a multidisciplinary approach. It includes real-world applications, project work, and a mix of foundation, core, and humanities courses.

Programme Structure and Credit Details
The e-Masters programme consists of six modules, each lasting 12 weeks. The total number of credits is 54. Course types include:

Each module offers a balanced mix of subjects, building a strong understanding of data science and its application in decision-making.
Application Process and Fee Structure
The application fee is Rs 1,000. After selection, students must pay a registration fee of Rs 1,50,000. The tuition fee is Rs 8,10,000, payable in six instalments, making the total programme cost Rs 9,60,000.
