The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has announced a special women-only course designed to help professionals, managers, and entrepreneurs harness the power of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI).
Titled “GenAI for Business: A Hands-On Introduction – Women’s Special Edition”, the three-day beginner-level programme will be held online from September 11 to 13, with registrations closing on September 9. The course fee is Rs 13,000 inclusive of GST.
Hands-On Training With Leading AI Tools
The intensive 9-hour course will be led by Prof. Lina Sonne Vyas, Associate Professor at the Desai Sethi School of Entrepreneurship (DSSE), IIT Bombay. Sessions will run on Thursday and Friday evenings, followed by a Saturday morning session. Participants will gain hands-on exposure to widely used GenAI platforms including ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Llama, Perplexity, Co-Pilot, Flux1, DALLE, Grok, and Notebook LM.
Through live demonstrations, interactive exercises, and real-world case studies, participants will learn practical applications of AI in recruitment, personnel management, marketing, customer engagement, sales, business process improvement, and data-driven decision-making. A dedicated module on prompt engineering will guide learners on effective communication with AI tools.
Practical, Beginner-Friendly Approach
The programme is specifically designed for beginners with no prior experience of GenAI. It is expected to benefit women employees seeking to improve efficiency, managers and leaders integrating AI into team strategies, and entrepreneurs or freelancers aiming to scale their businesses smartly.

Alongside technical skills, the course will also address broader issues such as leadership in an AI-driven environment, ethical concerns, data privacy, and regulatory considerations. On completion, participants will receive a Certificate of Participation from IIT Bombay.
