IAS Pallavi Mishra, a law graduate cracked UPSC without coaching with AIR-73

Every year millions of ambitious candidates from a variety of sectors including law, engineering, medicine and Arts appear for the prestigious UPSC exam to fulfill their IAS dream. Many even give up their lucrative jobs to become an IAS or IPS officer.

No matter what field you come from, the result depends on your effort and hard work. This has been proved by IAS Pallavi Mishra, who secured an impressive AIR-73 without any coaching. Although a law graduate, she decided to appear in the Civil Services Exam to fulfill her dream of becoming an IAS officer.

Hailing from Madhya Pradesh, it was her dream to become an IAS officer like most children during her school days. After completing her schooling, she went on to earn a law degree from Delhi’s National Law University.

Instead of appearing in judicial exams, Pallavi decided to give UPSC a try. She was faced with disappointment in her first attempt. However, she did not give up. Coming from a family of educated people, Pallavi changed her strategy and worked harder, thereby securing an AIR-73 in her second attempt.

Pallavi credits her mother Prof. Dr. Renu Mishra, a senior scientist, father Ajay Mishra, a senior advocate and her brother Aditya Mishra, an IPS officer and a DCP in Indore for her success.

When asked for tips for young aspirants like her, Pallavi asserted that everyone should accept their weaknesses and focus on them.

“Start over with your planning and recover from your lost confidence,” DNA India quoted her tips for aspiring candidates.
