Amid the demand by a large section of students to change the exam centre for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG exam, Chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC), M Jagadesh Kumar on Thursday informed that the demand is being considered.
"Some students, who are appearing for CUET-UG, have requested for change of examination center. The requests for a change of centers are being considered by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and students need not feel anxious about it," Kumar told ANI.
Earlier, soon after the release of CUET-UG admit card for the first phase of the exam, Jagadesh Kumar had said said that around 98 per cent of CUET UG candidates were allotted exam centre in the city of their choice.
The CUET-UG exam will be conducted in two phases from July 15 to August 10. As per the NTA data, more than 8 lakh students have registered for the first phase of the entrance test.
As per reports, students who have opted for biology, chemistry and physics will be allotted examination dates in Phase II of CUET-UG and the admit cards for the second phase will be issued on July 31, 2022.
