The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has informed that students will get exam results even if they have skipped one of the term exams.
Ahead of the CBSE Term 2 exam beginning tomorrow, the board said those who appear for either of the term exams will receive a grade based on their performance in one of exams- Term 1 or Term 2.
If a student is not able to appear for all the exams and take only three or four of them because of Covid-19, he/she will also get his/her results under a special scheme.
“The alternate grading scheme will be decided by the board at the appropriate time and will be in favour of students,” said CBSE while addressing students at a live webinar on Monday.
Check the conditions under which students can get their board exam results:
Appeared for term-1 exams but absent in term-2 exams
Appeared for term-2 exams but absent in term-1 exams
Appeared for all papers in term-1 but couldn’t appear for 1 or 2 papers in term-2
Appears for all papers in term-2 but failed to appear for 1 or 2 papers in term-1
The CBSE will be conducting the Class 10 and Class 12 Term 2 exams from tomorrow, April 26. While the Class 10 Term 2 exam will conclude on May 24, CBSE Class 12 board exam will end on June 15.
